The Texas Tech University new outdoor aquatic facility features an exciting array of refreshing aquatic recreation activities for both students and faculty in the arid west Texas town of Lubbock. The aquatic center welcomes guests into its Spanish Renaissance style complex with plenty of leisure and adventure.
Counsilman-Hunsaker exceeded the school’s goals and objectives, and designed an inviting complex, which includes outdoor leisure amenities for students and the surrounding community. Amenities include:
• 14,000 sq. ft. leisure pool with a 635 ft. lazy river and three lap lanes complete with diving board and drop slide
• Bubble bench circle pool area
• Separate 4,600 sq. ft. eight lane 25-yard lap pool
• 15 person hot tub
• Kids area with spraypad
• Large wet deck lounging area
