Counsilman-Hunsaker, in association with Lyman Davidson Dooley, designed the cutting-edge Pirate’s Cove Aquatic Center in Englewood, Colorado. The outdoor waterpark was designed for a variety of age groups and provides attractions that everyone can enjoy.
The facility features an array of amenities including:
35-foot tower where three waterslides emerge, ranging in length and speed to provide unique rides:
•243-foot-long closed-flume waterslide with a spiraled descent •298-foot-long open-flume waterslide with gentle curves for a slower descent •120-foot-long closed-flume, curve-free waterslide
6,567 sq. ft. Leisure Pool: •750-gallon slow-filling dump bucket •ADA-accessible zero-depth entry ramp •820 sq. ft. sprayground •Several play forts and two small waterslides •Lazy river that weaves around the park •1,135 sq. ft. vortex
3,739 sq. ft. Competition Pool •25-yard lap pool with six lanes
